Welcome to our site. Abilena Plantation sits high on the Neuse River in historic New Bern NC. Built in 1927, the 5 acre waterfront estate has been a New Bern jewel for over 90 years. The property is private and peaceful, and welcomes wedding parties and family reunions, class reunions, etc. It was a primary residence until the Williams family purchased and opened it to the public in 2008. Additions were made and changes made to the property to allow for weddings and receptions. Abilena hosts 25- 30 weddings and events annually, and many more smaller functions in our off season. Our wedding season is from March - November. Prime dates fill up quickly!

We have preferred wedding planners we work with or you may bring your own. One of our staff are always on call throughout the entire wedding process to answer any questions about the venue.

Packages
Our wedding package includes use of the plantation from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. You may have the rehearsal and dinner here also.
The wedding party stays here like a large vacation home.(Sleeps up to 12)!
We provide tables chairs etc for up to 120 guests
On site staff during each event to handle and venue coordination.
Package #1---$7,900. Friday 9 am-Sunday at 1pm
Package #2- $9,900 Use of Abilena starting Wednesday.
Package 3-$12,900 includes catering for up to 100!!!

After owning several beach properties, a historic home downtown and photographing hundreds of weddings, John and Mary Ann Williams purchased and renovated this property with weddings receptions, and reunions in mind. After years of seeing other outdoor and waterfront venues, we modified the property for these types of family and church functions. We have a private waterfront ceremony and reception sites and and rain back up plan! The Carriage House is our 1600 Sq foot pavillion that is perfect for waterfront receptions. Dinner and dancing overlooking the water!
Inside the original building is our bar and buffet set up space. The wedding cake is also kept inside. The pavillion seats up to 120 guests, and with addition of a tent can go up to 150 guests.
Abilena sleeps up to 12 people. Usually the wedding party or family. We have a salon room for hair and make up and a private dressing room for the wedding gown, There are rooms for the guys to get ready as well.
